Moving on up

Thu Apr 23, 2009, 12:13 PM
I've created a new profile because I feel that my gallery right now is not very professional. Is it a stupid idea? Probably. In fact, I'm pretty sure it is. But I want to start afresh.

Anyways, here's my new profile if you want to add me. I'll probably move the best of my pictures over there:

Okay, this can't be real

This is basically a movie about a leukemic dancer who tries to convert people to Christianity while the stupidest version of Satan tries to stop them.

EDIT:

Neither can this horror about a kid and his farting, Mr. T impersonating mule voiced by Ice-T.

Or this, for that matter.

EDIT 2:
This clip from 9, however, is thankfully very real. [link]

Crank 2

Sat Apr 18, 2009, 1:13 PM
I have unfortunately not gotten a chance to see it yet, but from what I've heard, it looks like insanity transcribed onto the big screen.

Oh my god, this is horrible

If there's one franchise that I can't really stand in gaming, it's Sonic. Sure, the Genesis games were great, but if you look at the new crap they've come out with, they nearly ruined those.

Somehow, they decided to create a Sonic Bible...which reads a lot like fan-fiction.

I think it reveals that no one should play Sonic just for plot. This isn't Slaughterhouse Five.

Great Albums I've been listening to recently

Sun Apr 12, 2009, 8:01 AM
Mastodon-Blood Mountain

One of the first metal albums I've actually gotten any mileage from.

Mastodon-Leviathan

I actually remember not being too impressed with this album on first listen. Which is odd, considering this is supposedly their best work. But it's definitely growing on to me.

Mastodon-Crack the Skye

Two words: The Czar. Divinations is also an amazing track.

Gojira-From Mars to Sirius

I've never heard of Gojira until just recently. I was actually led to this album by iTunes' Genius tab. And I am loving what I'm hearing.

Mike Patton-Crank 2: High Voltage soundtrack

Let's be honest here. I have no idea how Crank 2 will be. I haven't even seen the first one. But Mike Patton did the score for it, and I've been a huge fan of his work for sometime. I genuinely think that between this and A Perfect Place, he has a knack for soundtrack work.

Tom Waits-Rain Dogs
I'm trying to revisit an old favorite of mine.

On an unrelated note, The Onion has just done an amazing send-up of video games today.

Close Range. It's a game that consists entirely of shooting people in the face.
I could actually see the game unironically be hailed as much as, say, Halo.

There's actually a demo for it. [link]
